Our swimmers first join Tasman Magic Academy of Swimming which is owned by CLM, an Auckland based company. The Academy does all the swim training and coaching of the swimmers, and this is run by Shaun Foley who is the Head Coach. It is Shaun, who decides which squad is appropriate for each swimmer. The Academy is a training organisation only - it is not a registered swim club.

Tasman Magic Academy is operated by CLM and aims to provide a comprehensive coaching pathway from “Learn to Swim” right through to Senior Age Group swimmers competing at National and International level.

Swimmers start in their junior group and progress at their own pace through Intermediate, then Age and finally reaching our Youth Squad.

When a swimmer becomes a competitive swimmer they then join Tasman Swim Club and we register them with Swimming New Zealand and administers all their competitive swim meets and needs.

If you are new to the region and would be interested in joining us or have a child who wants to take their swimming further, please contact the club through our Contact Us tab.

To be a competitive swimmer you must also be registered with Swimming Nelson Marlborough and Swimming NZ. Our club fee is $60 per year, we also take the Swimming NZ and SNM annual fees and pass them on to those associations. The Swimming NZ fee for a competitive swimmer is $106.50 and Swimming Nelson Marlborough fee is $40. To register please complete the medical details form and club membership form.
